Update on Jane

I don't have proper tools. This is the best I can do with what I have at home.

I don’t have proper typesetting tools at home, so this is the best I could do. It is a product of Bean, a libre et gratis word processor for OS X.

However, criticism is welcome on how to improve the text of the thing. I still have several which will be going out to the boards at the coffee houses and such places tonight. The phone number has been changed from the one on the actual paper version and the e-mail address on the paper version is my professional address rather than the one tied to my internet foolishness.

I am not one to speak with warm tones about retail, walk-up print-and-copy shops. My experience today with Fedex Office, formerly Kinko’s, was quite trouble free. I composed this in the wee small hours, made a foolproof Apple-PDF conversion, dumped it into their web site, paid on the web and by 10 AM 100 copies were unexpectedly well packaged and waiting for me. It only took me half an hour to drive to the closet branch, but that’s post-Austin for you.

This feature is especially nice because I no longer can turn documents into paper at home.
