Until mere moments ago, I never knew what tapioca actually is. I mean, I know it’s little pearls, but of what I had no idea.

Now I know that tapioca is merely processed cassava. Cassava is processed to remove the compounds that produce copious and fatally toxic doses of cyanogenic glucoside during digestion.

Then I had to look up cassava.
