  • B23F: 91
This means that the B23F engine (Bensin[gas], 2300 cc with fuel injection) from Volvo was designed for 91 octane fuel. However, the U.S. specification of the B23F is “low compression” which implies a lower octane should be used. I don’t know what to tell you.
  • For the record your car has the AW70 automatic, based on a Borg-Warner design from the 60’s. “One of the best automatic transmissions ever made.”
  • fabric dashboard cover for $42.50
ABS plastic replacment dashboard top, black only, $79.00
These may be the only products available.
  • proper replacement seat covers, $198.00
  • The kind of seat covers you’ll end up with are at Pep Boys and Wal-Mart … even though I don’t know how to work around the head rest.
  • High-end shocks and struts will run $300, rear springs $100, tires $4×72 … so you could do the whole suspension “right” for under $700. Budget that much but it will come in for less.
  • The more I think about the wheels, the more I am bothered by their appearance. I don’t know to whom you go just to paint the wheels.
