Prediction & Analysis
Electoral vote tally: 302-236
Obama cannot win the 63% of the vote required to win Florida and Ohio, due to the distinctive process in those states for non-Republicans. Your humble narrator is not convinced that Indiana or Montana will turn blue. The numbers out of Indiana look good, but are not convincing. Otherwise we shall see a solid South, rededicated to an ideology of poverty, desperation and the corresponding need for self-defense. This South includes North Carolina. With these numbers, I presume all five EVs from Nebraska go to McCain. None of this matters.
The Democratic campaign has not yet given up Texas or Indiana, but I have. If both Nevada and Colorado flip red, the election will merely look closer.
Of course, all of this can change tonight.
